Before you book — you’ll need

  • A tow vehicle legally rated for the trailer plus your car Check your vehicle’s tow rating against the trailer’s ATM shown on its listing.
  • Your physical driver licence One-time ID check on your first hire — about 60 seconds.
  • Your own tie-down straps Straps aren’t included. Rated straps from Bunnings or Supercheap are fine. The winch is for loading only — never a tie-down.
  • The free Elecbrakes app Trailers with electric brakes use Elecbrakes — your car’s built-in brake controller won’t operate them. Two-minute setup guide.

Common questions

Do I need a brake controller in my car?
No. Trailers with electric brakes use the Elecbrakes system, controlled from your phone — your car’s built-in controller won’t operate them. Download the free Elecbrakes app before pickup and follow the setup guide.
What trailer plug do you use?
A 7-pin flat plug, with an adaptor to 7-pin small round in the red toolbox. If your vehicle uses a different plug, bring an adaptor that suits your car.
Are straps or a winch included?
Straps are not included — bring your own rated tie-downs. Most car trailers have an electric winch for loading; check the trailer’s listing for specs, and bring gloves.
Can I change or extend my booking?
Yes — everything is self-service from your booking page: change times, dates, trailer or location, extend, or cancel. Extensions are subject to availability.
Can I do a one-way hire?
No. Trailers must be returned to the pickup location.
Is there a bond?
No bond, no deposit. Bookings are paid securely online, with optional damage cover available at checkout.
