Detailed Steps
New to ElecBrakes? Expand each section and follow the yellow numbered actions.
1. Pairing — EB2 (NFC + Bluetooth)
2. Pairing — ELBC2000 (Bluetooth)
- Ignition ON + headlights ON. 7-pin connected.
- Open the app near the controller → when it appears in the device list, select to connect.
- Press the brake to verify the red circle appears.
3. Brake programs & gain
- Start at 40% gain for an empty trailer. Increase for heavier loads.
- For loaded trailers, use 80–100% gain so braking feels even with the car.
- Fine-tune in Settings → Program(forward, minimum, reverse, override).
- Test at low speed in a safe area and adjust in small steps until confident.
4. Manual override braking
- On the app home, tap the blue circle to apply trailer brakes — it turns red.
- Adjust strength with +/ –. Tap again to stop override.
- Use override only at low speed and in a straight line to test function.
5. Android Auto / Apple CarPlay
- Android Auto: Connect (USB or wireless) → open ElecBrakes on the car display → use Previous/Next and on-screen controls.
- Apple CarPlay: Connect (USB or wireless) → open ElecBrakes → adjust via steering wheel/touch or Siri.
6. Troubleshooting — fast fixes
- No connection: Headlights ON; unplug/re-plug 7-pin; check adaptors; make sure only one phone/remote is connected.
- Weak/strong brakes: Adjust gain in small steps and re-test at 40–50 km/h.
- Override not working: Confirm the app is connected to the correct controller.
